To match the cantilever of your door at the correct angle, for longer brackets, the adjacent magnet can be positioned further along the bottom of the horizontal door. When replacing the magnetic catches, I also realised that the back plates had been installed with the anti-rotational grub screw pointing in the wrong direction, which created a gap. Thanks Jim, those magnetic ones look like they’ll do the trick, are the magnets very strong as the door is on the prevaling wind side. This will help prevent the door from swinging too far in either direction and potentially damaging the wall or adjacent furniture.
